Insert battery hang not working

You need to replace the battery. A lot of laptops will work from AC adapter when the battery is out but when the battery is installed they default to battery and the AC adapter defaults to charging. When the battery is bad you get the results you describe. If for some reason it did the same thing with a new battery then the power circuit would need to be replaced, but this is not typically the case. Almost every time I have fixed someones Laptop with the problem you describe, a new battery was the solution.

Try to remove the battery and power up your laptop, if the problem is still the same try to press F6 or F8 and start into Last known good configuration. and disable the automatic restart. But back up your data and reformat your laptop. it might have viruses on it that triggering the restart.

Either the AC port on the back of your laptop has a lose connection - if operation without battery is an issue, or if battery charge only is issue - then battery may have to be reseated or it is at end of life. Test by removing battery and running AC alone. if connection port is bad, laptop will power off immediately/unexpectedly. Good luck! btw - batteries for this unit are around $40 on ebay

Problem description:The battery charges only when the laptop turned off. The battery charge LED lights up as normal and the battery gets charged to 100% while the laptop is off.
When the laptop is turned on, the battery charge LED goes off even if the adapter is still plugged in.

2. There is a slight chance that you have bad battery. Test the laptop with a know good battery and replace the faulty one if needed.

3. The battery charge problem could be related to the power jack. Maybe the jack is broken or not making good contact with the motherboard. It is necessary to remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. Resolder or replace the jack if needed.

4. If the power jack is in a good working shape and new power adapter with battery do not fix the problem, most likely you have a faulty motherboard. Replace the motherboard if needed.

The battery is dead on the laptop, you can buy replacement battery.

check if your fan is working and if it is working then Change your Hdd

Just remove the battery
a bad battery disconnects your keyboard from windows
all so you buy a new computer

we removed the battery and used only the AC. all works fine.

one of 2 things, youre battery might be no more good, i u left a dead battery lieing around for awhile they tend to lose there charge so maybe buy a new battery, but i suggest reformating ur computer using the hidden partion in the acer start screen, when u boot ur computer hold ctrl + f10 this should enable the acer e-recovery management to reset the computer back to factory defaults. Note that everything in ur drive c will be deleted so anything u want to keep should be moved to the drive D. if its not ctrl f10 then search acer e recovery and ull find the correct key combination to enable it
