1) Is your charger / adapter working OK ?
Most of the time, an adatper or charger contains a red or green LED, showing it's active, when inserted in the wall-outlet (110 / 240 V AC). In some cases, this LED will emit light, only when the mobile phone is connected.
If this doesn't happen, you might consider buying a new(er) charger for your mobile phone.

2) Is battery charged ?
No further discussion / c;arification needed.

3) Does phone contain an old(er) battery ?
If the mobile phone is used for a longer time or used intensely, the battery might be "worn out". A battery is able to be charged, but will show it's limits, because of it's maximum usage. With this I mean, they can be charged a maximum amount of times. If you even use a quick-charger, the battery may suffer more, resulting in a less longer lifetime. In such case you can replace your battery, by simply ordering / buying a new battery for your mobile phone.

THE PROBLEM IES WITH THE BATTERY AND PLZ ALWAYS USE THE CHARGER SPECIFIED FOR YOUR PHONE AND PLZ DO NOT USE CHARGERS OF OTHER NOKIA MOBILES....BECAUSE IN NOKIA CHARGER PIN ARE SAME,BUT BATTERY MODELS ARE DIFFERENT...........UR BATTERY WILL GET CHARGED BUT THE LIFE LL BE LOWERED.......
THE BATTERY HAS DAMAGED IN YOUR PHONE AND THE SOLUTION IS TO CHANGE UR MOBILE BATTERY.................

it is the problem with the charger...in duplicate chargers, ratings and standards are not followed properly for example if ur mobile battery needs some 10A and 7V(only for example)duplicate charger may give less or more the required ratings...this ll end up in heating ur mobile....

it is always recommended to use branded charger...

TRY TO CHARGE UR PHONE BY SWITCH OFF IT IF ITS NUTS SOLVE THE PROBLEM THAN DONT GO FOR ANY OTHER CHARGER AND HIGH VOLTAGE IT CAN DAMAGE TO UR PHONE SHOW UR MOBILE ANY NEAR MOBILE REPAIRING SHOP
