You probably has a loose connection inside the projector where the signal board connects to the light part.
If you have a technician or friend who is good with technical things, have him open the case, disconnect the cables one by one and put them back into their sockets again.
Then, put the case back together and try the projector again.

Will a bad or old lamp cause my projector not to display a picture?

If it is lighting up - even poorly - then the image should be visible irrespective of the lamp condition - try it in a back out condition. Another test would be to bring up the menu options - if they are visible it will confirm that the fault lies more in the area of the input side of things.

My Infocus 4805 is just showing the INFOCUS logo and not showing the picture from the TV. all connections are correct but no signal....help

Powering On
  • If your InFocus 4805 projector is having a hard time powering on or doesn't power on at all, it could be one of two things. Due to the extreme temperature of the lamp that causes the temperature of the projector to rise, every InFocus 4805 projector has a cooling system. Check your projector's cooling solution, as it may need to be replaced. Also check the projector's fan---if the fan doesn't spin, the unit will not turn on. If the problem is the fan, you'll have to get it replaced. You can do this at the same place you bought your projector.
  • The Lamp
  • If your InFocus 4805 Projector powers on but does not project any light, the lamp will need to be replaced. All projector lamps must be replaced at some point---how often usually depends on how much use the device gets. Simply order a replacement lamp, unscrew the old one and screw the new one in. The projector will then work like new.
  • Color Wheel
  • If your InFocus 4805 projector powers on and is displaying images but the colors on the images appear warped or are not in the proper places, your "color wheel" will need to be replaced. The color wheel is a small device that essentially acts like a prism. Light is projected through it and it displays the appropriate colors on screen the way they appear in the original video source. Order a replacement color wheel that fits your model and use your instruction manual as a guide as you swap the old one out and put the new one in.

My sony wega's picture goes on and off, but doesn't power down. it's not as if the lamp stops, but only shows blackness.

It is the lamp cycling imagine its like a street lamp, it turns on gets to temp then powers down because of too much draw.

I suggest new bulb and take apart set to clean all cooling fans and take apart projector assembly as cooling fans in there become clogged with dust.

if you hear chirping or a loud buzzing, you have a bad colorwheel. the lamp won't turn on if the colorwheel doesn't spin as fast as it needs to. if you don't hear anything like that, you need a new power supply. the lamp striking takes a lot of power, and if the power supply can't handle it, it shuts off. you can get the part from an infocus service center and replace it yourself, or send it to them for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

Mitsubishi WD-65733 no picture, electrical buzzes in series

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.

KDF-50a12U Powers off then standby light blinks 3 times

Please recheck Lamp Cover and make sure it is fixed in its space securely as 3 times red blink shows lamp cover error.
There is small safety switch in TV cabinet under lamp cover that has to be pushed by lamp cover if it is fixed in its position properly. That switch is not being pressed by lamp cover and causing this error.
    Thanks.
