The sensor in the filter "PATH" is actually located past the screen. It measures the amount of air flow passing through the exhaust cavity going outside. My suggestion is to clean the airflow duct from right past the lint filter all the way out side. It is recommended that this be done once a year for optimal performance. If this doesn't work, let me know.

Clean Lint Filter Light Keeps Dryer from starting

Evidently the fuse blew for some reason.
Keep the dryer unplugged from power for one hour or so. If it still does start, you will have to take apart the dryer, check the fuse, check the thermal fuse, and test the wirings inside.
If you need to call arepairman use the number listed on the owner manual.

GE gas dryer DSXH47GGWW- starts fine and begins to heat up then shuts off with a message that the lint filter needs cleaned. The lint filter has been completely cleaned and vacumed inside, outside and...

Hello,

With no lint anywhere around the dryer the thing to check if havent already is the venting itself to see if outside it is blowing and not restricted or blocked

The control is sensing poor air flow and throws up the "clean filter" when air flow is restricted all be it from the filter clogged, or blocked/restricted vent

The gas dryer is heating but with diminished air flow.

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum, contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

GE Profile electric dryer continues to stop and say check lint filter, however lint filter is clean?

You should get one of of those long handled dryer vent brushes from Home Depot or Lowes and clean the vent pipe also. Not enough air is moving over the vent sensor.

My ge dryer takes 5hrs to dry a load of clothes, it seems hot enough inside when i open it but the clothes used to dry in 90mins or so now its hours

Have you checked your lint filter? Do you empty your lint filter after every load? If it is hot inside the dryer then the most likely suspect is a clogged exhaust vent. Check the lint filter, if it is clean pull the dryer out from the wall and disconnect the exhaust hose. You may have to clear out the exhaust hose...compressed air usually does the trick. After you have done this, put everything back together and your problem should be gone.
