Question about Teac PD-D2380 5-Disc CD Changer
95% of the time it is not the spindle motor it is the optical pick up assembly. the optic cant see that there is a disc in place it doesn't spin. look at the eye does it move up and down when the disc loads? this does not mean the optic still can't see the disc but clean the lens first. a weak laser will not be able to see the disc also. most of the optical pickups will last only 4yrs to 6yrs of normal use the problem most likely is the optical pickup.
