I dont think a changed Sim card would affect your signal if its the same carrier. If you changed carrier than its the carrier Sprint, tmobile, etc..

No network covrege

Hi, It may be due to the network service provider in that area alone. You try putting ur sim card in other phones and if it shows the same , then sim card is ur prob.change to a new sim with same number from ur service provider. If the above two shows positive then the receiving antennae of ur phone is weak. service ur phone.

No network coverage

Phone is not receiving any radio signal / received signal is too weak:
Confirm that network coverage is available where you are by contacting your service provider.

SIM card is not working properly:

Insert your SIM card into another phone
Note: Contact your service provider if you get the same message again.
Phone is not working properly:
Insert your SIM card into another phone. If the second phone works with the inserted SIM card, then
the problem is probably with the first instrument.

Note: In this case, contact your nearest Sony Ericsson service center regarding your phone problem.

Signal and power problem

Check your sim card with other mobile to find whether it is a problem of network or your mobile. If it is with Sim card, you can change it, or if it is mobile then the problem might be with the antenna.

A1200 auto reboot & signal problem

It sounds like you may need a new SIM card. However, the fact that your phone is rebooting on it's own is troubling.

Has your phone been exposed to any liquids that you know of? There is a small round sticker inside your battery compartment, if it has turned red then it has been exposed to moisture. If so, then that could be the problem.

I would try a new SIM card first.

first master reset/clear the phones data, then have the phone settings network change to pick up the network if that does not work your onboard antenna may need to be replace or resolder.

Cell phone not working

More than likely the antenna has gone bad on your phone or you may just have a bad sim card. Try borrowing a sim card from another phone that uses the same service you have and power up your phone with it. Then try it out in different places to see if you get good signal or not. If its good then you just need to replace your sim card and don't forgot to give back the borrowed sim. If its the phone/antenna then its time to replace the phone.
