Question about Ryobi 15" Electric Factory Reconditioned Trimmer (ZRRY41002) - Factory Reconditioned

1 Answer

Weeda eater why does my weeda eater keep flooding and petrol run's through the carbie and i cannot get it to start My bc30 is brand new. I can get it to idle if I start it while tilting the motor 45 degrees toward the ground, but in no other position. If I quickly shake or rotate it ant this angle, it stops running. This would indicate some type of carburator malfunction. I took the carburator apart yet there is no apparent problem. There is a small spring-loded float-like device that may not be functioning properly due to over/under load of the small spring itself, I slightly streched the spring to see what effects this would produce. However the tiny spring, sprung from my grip and fell into the proverbial haystack. Now I am on the hunt to replace it.

I have a stihl fs 85 whipper sniper will start if i pour fuel in carby but doesnt seem to be sucking fuel into carby

Could be a dirty needle and seat, gummed up over time. Or an incorrect float or punctured float. Clean the carb and rebuild it wit a kit from your local dealer.

Carbi keeps flooding started fine and rode for 10 mins then cut and wont start unless i drain the carbi and turn petrol of then starts for around 10 seconds then cuts out its a peewee 50 2010 model

the float inside the carb is probably stuck in the open may need to remove the carb and have an overhaul kit installed in it....if you stored the unit without draining the fuel from the tank AND the carb, then the fuel probably went bad and has become "varnished". This fuel degradation can cause the float to stick and clog up the main and idle jets

Hi, from your question it sounds like you have an idling problem. To fix this you have to adjust the idle speed screw that is located on top of the carb. Turn that screw in (clockwise) for faster idle speed. Hope this helps. All the best and good luck.

Fuel coming (sometimes pouring) out of the airbox vent pipe when the engine is turned off. It will also continue for a time with the ignition off and then slow to a stop. But will sometimes start again...

Sounds like needle & seat in carbys could be sticking or float levels maybe to high when you turn your key on your fuel pump starts and this puts pressure on needle & seat and if floats are to high the petrol just keeps flowing Float is what stops petrol flooding the carbies, check minor things first like dirt in needle seat if you have a compressor give carbies a light blow out.

Kawasaki GT750 Fuel dumping

Sounds like the float valve is stuck in the carby and allowing fuel to keep flowing.

Give the carby bowl a light tap with some wood to free up the float valve. You may have to pull the carby off and have a look if that doesn't help. Fuel cannot bypass the float valve in normal operation.

Carbies willn't set float level, right floods, left sets to low

I don't know if its any help but I've fixed my Honda with similar problem. It turns out I reassembled the rich carbys air cut off valve incorrectly. Have you checked yours? I'm wondering if the cut off valves somehow affect the other parts of the carbys. Mine is running sweet now.
