Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone
When I power up the verizon wireless screen fades in and out and won't complete the power on sequence
Is your battery dead? (I know you're not stupid...)
By dead, I mean, used so much that it won't hold a charge anymore. Try taking the battery out, plugging in the charger, then turning on.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: screen blinks
Update: Went to the Verizon Wireless store yesterday. I was told that
it's a software problem and its basically like a computer crash. They
could not fix it. Since its no longer under warranty, I could not
simply get it replaced, either. My options were to activate an older
phone or pay $50 to get a replacement. I couldn't even upgrade my plan
because it wasn't allowable until 8/26!
So the bottom line is this - there is no easy fix that I (nor apparently Verizon) is aware of. It'll have to be replaced.
