Question about GE WVSR1060A Top Load Washer
Settings on cold wash warm rinse, end of 1st wash and rinse hot water continues to run overflowing tub.....turned knobs, unplugged machine, had to turn off water supply to stop hot water flow. Reset knobs to original settings and everything works.....I assume I have trouble brewing.....is there a problem with the solonoids or has something come lose and stuck in the solonoid.....? I cannot trust the washer running without being watched.

Thank you so much for your advise.
I did a google search "washer hot water continues to run after turned off" and it hit this post.
We took the hoses off our Whirlpool Washer and, wow, there were the filters you spoke about. Our water is so hard here that it was full of that white residue. I scrapped out the residue with a papper towl and flushed out both the hot and cold lines with vinegar with our baister blowing vinegar and air through the filter.
It worked great!!! Thanks again

Sounds like you are right the water inlet solenoid on the hot side is sticking remove the hoses and clean th escreen out and the valve try agin with a fill on hot to see if it stops on a small load if not replace the water inlet valve
