My garmin gps is like locked or frozen it doe's nothing HELP ME IM LOST.

Going back to the security location will unlock the unit but in order to reset the pin code, the original pin code must be input.
To unlock the unit, it must be sent back to Garmin.

You're missing the file gmapprom.img on your C510 unit (possibly a failed update?).

Unless you have a backup it's contact Garmin I expect (maybe try getting a copy off someone but possible the file is locked to the unit as I have tried swapping SD cards containing maps in the past between units and no joy)..

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 If you have a Garmin Lock on your nuvi and you have forgotten your 4 digit PIN number you can unlock the device by returning to your Security Location. The Security Location is the location that you set when you first enabled the Garmin Lock on your device. Returning to the Security Location will unlock your device. (Approximately 150 feet from that location)

If you have forgotten your PIN and Security Location please contact Product Support for assistance. Please note Garmin will require a copy of the receipt and there will be a charge to unlock the device as this issue is not covered by the warranty.

Resetting the device merely resets the power connection, on some devices there is a reset to manufacturer defaults on settings, but not your stored data. Working with GPS's 40 hours a week I constantly have to use the reset button when they lock up. Just press it in for a few seconds then if it doesn't power back up just hit the power button and everything should be fine.

Resetting Your c330
If your unit locks up, press the Power button to turn off the unit, then press again to turn the unit back on. If this does not help, reset your C330.
1. Place your thumb nail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate.
2. Gently pull off the face plate.
3. Press the Reset button.
4. Turn the unit back on; it will operate normally

Have you tried resetting the unit? Remove the faceplate and press the reset button on the right side of the unit. This may help.
