First - turn off the unit and unplug. There are six philips screws on the bottom of the unit. Remove these and the top will come off. There are still some wires connecting the top to the bottom, but you should be able to access the battery. Pull off the connectors on the battery and replace with a new one. A new battery can be found here: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps725sl-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Yes, it would appear that you need to replace the battery on this unit.
You could get a new battery from a local battery specialty store like Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery, or online at www.replacementupsbattery.com. A new battery would be about $30. If you took your old battery there, they could recycle your old one, as well as match it up with the correct one you would need (BP9-12 battery).
We have a 3 year warranty on all our battery back up units. If you have any questions, you could contact us here at CyberPower Systems Technical Support at 877-297-6937, M-F 8-5 Central, or email us at tech@cyberpowersystems.com.

I have a CyberPower 725SL UPS. Shortly after turning it on, it will beep as if AC power was lost and the green light goes out. I checked the battery and it's good. I'm assuming something went bad with...

Couple different items to check.
  • Try letting the unit set ideal for overnight charging the battery. Do not even turn the unit on.
  • Replace the battery.
If you turn the unit on when the battery is plugged in and does not keep a charge you can almost be sure it is the battery or the charging circuit not maintaining the battery.

Can I purchase replacement battery for the CyberPower 825AVR? and if so how much is it with shipping? I'm in upstate NY

keymast, if you can open your 825avr unit take picture before disconnecting battery. then find local car/truck battery retailer locally that also deals with SLA batteries for alarm systems and emergency lighting systems. They should be able to source an exact replacement for you. Or else search the web using the search term "sla batteries" or "sealed lead-acid batteries" . You will get plenty of hits on web. 12fixlouie

What does wiring fault light mean?

The Site Wiring Fault LED will indicate three status:
• Led On: The site wiring fault function is enabled and a site wiring fault is present.
• Led Off: The site wiring fault function is disabled.
• Led Flash: The Site wiring fault function is enabled and there is no site wiring fault.

When the input power is normal the Site wiring fault LED will flash.
• To disable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.
• To enable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.

Is the wiring fault light indicator lit? This means that the outlet that the unit is connected to is either not properly grounded, or has reversed wiring. First, try connecting the unit to another outlet. If the unit does not display the wiring fault light in the new outlet you will need to have an electrician correct the problem with the other faulty outlet. If it still displays the wiring fault more troubleshooting will be necessary to determine the cause

My UPS Cyberpower 725SL is blinking and clicking on and off

When the battery is low, or dead, on these it will act this way. You may want to try a new battery. Here's a supplier: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps725sl-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Battery replacement

The batteries are very easy to replace on this model. You can simply remove 6 phillip head screws in the bottom and the unit will come apart to reveal the battery. Simple fast-on connectors. Here's a link to a new battery for that model: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps725sl-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Cbyer power 525Sl keeps turning off and on and beeps.

I have the exact same issue with my 525SL.
When you push in the red button - the green power light comes on for about 5 seconds = then the light goes out and the device plays a single long beep for about 5-8 seconds.

Given the dialogue here - I took out the battery and bough a brand new BB replacement battery and returned it into the unit as it should. The device continues to have the same behavior.

So it is NOT always a new battery that will fix the system.
Don't jump into spending $30.00 for a replacement.
Look into this further or you'll wind up wasting your money.

Power is out

Tom, usually those can be replaced by the End User. It's rare that they'd be sealed inside, but that does happen at times. The big issue is finding replacement batteries of same type/size fit, and you'd need to do that online.
