Only half the grill is working

My Rangemaster Classic 90 has a double electric grill, only the right hand side will work, even though you use the double grill control.

There are two elements on the grill, left and right. One has failed and needs replacing. Can't tell you how, we haven't got that far, but we bought replacements from e-Bay £9.99 each + £2.50 P+P. Official suppliers charge £21+.

The display control board may have failed, check for 110v at molex connection, next look for a circuit fuse on the control board. If the above is good, replace control board from eBay.

Hi, I have a Rangemaster 110 (electric double oven), which has a double grill. Unfortunately one half of the grill has blown - not working. Is it easy to repair? Thanks a lot - Krisztina

Usually fairly straight forward. Remove the blown element being careful not to loose the wires into the void behind the grill. Insert new element making sure the orientation and wires are conected as the original was.

New applaince can't set clock, cannot switch on eletric ovens, electric grill works, gas hobs fine

I'm sure you must have had an answer by now, but just incase anyone else has the same issue. The ovens don't work unless the clock has been set (happens after a power cut). To set the clock you need to hold down the left-hand two buttons (underneath the clock) and at the same time press either the + or - button.
