Roper dryer #RES7648JQ0 will not start

Your dryer very likely wont start due to a bad Thermal Fuse. This video I have attached shows how to replace the thermal fuse. I know the video says Whirlpool dryer, Whirlpool is the maker of the Roper brand and it should be exactly as shown in the video. The video shows using a jumper wire to bypass the thermal fuse if you have such a jumper wire it is effective to check if the fuse is the problem,if not just temporarily connect the 2 blue wires together and test if the dryer starts. BE ABSOLUTLY SURE BEFORE EITHER USINGA JUMPER WIRE OF CONNECTING THE BLUE WIRES TOGETHER ***DISCONNECT THE POWER TO THE DRYER*** USE JUMPER,OR CONNECT WIRING THEN RECONNECT POWER TO DRYER so it may be tested to see if the dryer starts.

I base my diagnosis on my 30 plus years as a appliance service technician.

Thanks,Gene

My dryer is turning but the clothes are not drying. There is no heat in the dryer.

Check the dryer heating elements that they are intact. You will have to open the back. Chek for fuses in the dryer. Good luck

Dryer is completely dead. Socket and power cord are fine, and insides of dryer are clean.

unplug the unit, then carefully open the power cord connection access panel in the rear area of the dryer, sometimes the incoming power connections of one or more will burn off and disconnect themselves from the terminals,if its this problem,it sound like the "N"neutral center connection, because if either power phase wire burns off you may still have the timer or drum operate because each is connected to one hot leg

Just installed a frigidaire washer/dryer combination. The washer works and the dryer tumbles, but there is no heat for the dryer. Help

There's no heat If your dryer doesn't heat, check these: Power from the house Heating element Thermal fuse Wiring Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected. Heating element Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable. Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.) Wiring A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

PF error on Maytag neptune gas dryer

This error code indicates "power failure" was detected. This could be caused by a bad/loose connection at either the logic board, the relay board, or at one of the three main power connection terminals on the back of the dryer. The logic board is located inside the control panel. The relay board is located in the base of the dryer. You can unplug and reseat electrical connections at these locations and check the main power cord hook-up at the terminal block. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Your issue is as follows;
"iI HAVE A DRYER 4PRONG POWER CORD \. HOUSE OUTLET THREE PRONG NEDD TO CHANGE POWER CORD.DRYER INSTRUCTION CONNECT 4 TERMMINAL.WHAT HAPPEN WHEN CONNECT THREEN TERMINAL."

A 3 prong cord should be wired as follows:

1. 1 end of cord connects to 1 outside terminal.
2. The other end of the cord connects to the remaiing outside terminal.
3. The center wire connects to the center terminal.
4. A separate ground wire should be attached from the dryer chassis, then to a metal cold water line, or an exterior grounding rod.

Correctyly wiring power supply to Kenmore dryer

A three wire pigtail is connected thusly. The two outer wires go to the two outer terminals on the dryer, the center lead goes to the center of the dryer terminal block. If its a four wire pigtail, the outer leads go to the two outer terminals on the dryer, the white goes to the center terminal. The jumper strap on the center is removed and the green goes to chassis ground.
