the Samsung G600, with the pc data cable wont transfer anything to my pc
    please help

  • tardis59 Apr 14, 2008

I also have a LG CG225. Last month I purchased a data cable, but the Mobile Phone Management Tool software that came with it doesn't have Photo Manager support for the CG225.

I thought that with the phone connected to my pc via the data cable, that the phone would appear in Explorer and I can move the photos to my pc.

    Help!!

I need to move a few photos from my old lg cg225 to my pc but no longer have service on this phone. It's hard to believe that no software exists to manage this thru my data cable. Does anyone have any ideas, a solution, or know of a service that I can pay to transfer these to a disc? It has pics of a 22.5" Largemouth Bass that I caught and released this summer! HELP!!!!

The LG CG225 does not include Bluetooth functionality.
An optional accessory data cable can be used for transferring ringtones or backgrounds to the phone but space for them on the phone is limited.

You're best using Windows Explorer to drag and drop files from phone folder to PC and vice versa.

Getting photos off the phone onto the computer

It will depend on what software you're running on the computer, but if you have Windows 7, just connecting the phone via the USB cord should bring up an option menu (after the computer searches for and installs a driver for your phone) which allows you to "download pictures" or "view files". Even if the menu doesn't pop up, you're phone should still appear on your computer as an external drive. Simply open the drive, and look in a folder called DCIM for the pictures.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

What type of camera are you using? Most companies have free software downloads on their websites.

I want to print photos but don't have a software to download .

You don't need special software to download your photos.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ) on Windows.

Any of those photo cataloging programs will have a print capability as well.

I need to take photos off my Sanyo Cellphone and download to my Computer. I haven't got a clue. I have a cord connecting computer and phone, but I don't know what software it takes to download...

    Hi,

The Sanyo SCP-2700 cell phone does not support 'browsing' or file transfer. The suggested course of action is to upload the photos to Picturemail - please be sure you have the Picturemail service and a data plan, otherwise it will get expensive.

Once the photos are uploaded to Picturemail, you can download them to your PC singly or as a ZIP archive.

    Regards.

You can connect the camera to your computer via usb and then transfer the files to your computer. Or you can buy a card reader, take the card out of the camera and put it in the reader, then connect the reader to your computer and get the photos off of it that way.

How i get my picture to edit it?

You would like to know how to get your pictures out of your digital camera so that you can edit them? No problem! I can help you with this.

First thing you need to do is make sure that you have a digital image program installed on your pc that will recognize your camera. You did not state what brand and model number of your camera, or I would have suggested one for you and provided a link to download to your computer.

Hopefully you have the disk that came with your camera, if so make sure that the software is installed before we connect your camera to your computer to download your photos. The pc will need the software in order to recognize your camera when connected.

If you don't have the disk that came with your camera, go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers and/or software to your computer. If you have an HP camera, you can find the drivers on their website at www.hp.com. The same thing is true for other brands. You can also go with a program that is pretty universal and accomodates most digital cameras like most of the photo editing software by "Arcsoft" or "Ulead". You can download a free version by either on Cnet's website (www.cnet.com).

After you have the software installed, connect your usb cord from your camera to your computer and then turn it on to transfer your pictures.

If you don't have a usb cord or prefer to use your memory card from your digital camera instead - then insert the card into the slot on your computer and follow the prompts to download and safe your photos. If your computer does not have memory card slots, then check your printer to see if it does and follow the same instructions as noted above. If you don't have a cord or a memory card slot on eithr your pc or your printer, then your next option would be to take your memory card from the digital camera to a local department store with a photo department and have them put the pictures on a compact disk or dvd. You can always save the pictures to your pc from a store supplied disk and edit them in your photo software. CVS drug store has a great photo department.

    Hope this helps?? Good luck!
