Question about Computers & Internet
My microtek computer monitor will turn on for 10 seconds then it will turn to a black screen then you can turn it off and back on and it will stay on for 10 seconds then back to a black screen, any suggestions on how to fix it and what is wrong with it?
LMAO it sounds like it is going into power-saving mode because there is (or it -thinks- there is) no signal. Has it always done this? Try punching up the controls when you turn it on and changing its behavior through those menus. Doublecheck the monitor's connection to the computer. Alternately, if it is connected and a display is coming up for those 10 seconds; perhaps just going into sleep mode, with the power LED changing appropriately; you can look up the exact model, and find schematics and previously solved instances of your case.
Even if you can't find those, you could read through some introductory electronic circuit books (and the internals of the monitor...unplug and read the books' safety bits first) and determine what went bad and how to replace that component.
