The maximum display resolution is dependant on the screen type. If you have sight issues you can download a utility like object dock which magnifies the size of icons and their text when the mouse is on them.

How do I make my letters bigger on my acer?

When you say make your letters bigger, do you mean a full documentation (e.g a formal letter) or do you mean the text?
To make the text bigger, it also depends on what program you're using. Usually there is an option at the top of your screen in a toolbar. Highlight all of the text you want to make bigger and find a tab that has a number in it, usually located next to the font (standard fonts are Calibri, Times New Roman, and Arial). You can either select a number from the drop down menu, or type one in yourself. If you typed it, press "Enter" and it should take effect.
If it's just so you can read it better, you can zoom in by holding "Ctrl" and pressing the "+" key. That works on most programs.
To make a full document bigger, you can edit it in the "Page setup" section, which can be found in the "File" menu.

How can i make my letters bigger

you need to change your font and size settings. If it it isn't on the tool bar, right click mouse in tool bar (top of screen) area and choose tool bar properties. You may need to move mouse over different areas , don't give up, right click is your friend.

Can i put a usb external hard disk drive on to my netbook and would it make the memory bigger how much bigger can i make it .

Hello,
It really depends on the capacity of your external hard disk. If it has a larger capacity compared to the one on your notebook, then yes it will make the memory bigger.. Take note, we're talking about memory or storage space and not memory as RAM.
if you want to improve the speed of your notebook then we should talk about RAM Memory. If that's the case, you need more RAM and not hard disk.
Please also remember that notebooks can handle only one hard disk. So, if you want to put your external hard disk into your notebook, you will have to remove the other one.
Regards..

Change font size

Hello, you can make the display larger by pressing and holding down the Control button (usually marked Ctrl ) and pressing the '+' button. Make it smaller by holding Ctrl and pressing down the minus button ( - )
Alternatively, you can alter the resolution by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting 'properties' , then 'settings' and then altering the adjusting the 'screen resolution' ; less resolution, bigger the font.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE FONT SIZE. I WANA MAKE IT LARGER.

One way to adjust/set the default size (to get a larger font size) is through your Control Panel - Display - Settings window, where you can select a larger font.
If you are using a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), there is way to increase (or decrease) the font size (displayed on the screen) using the "magnification" option at the bottom right corner of the screen. Simply click on the "magnifying glass" and increase/decrease the value, e.g. to 150% .

My son has a Dell Inspiron 1300 hooked to my wireless port. The computer when we received it had full screen, but now the width has a gap on the left and right about an inch or so. the height is ok. Is...

Go to Start >Control Panel > Display or Personalization (XP vs Vista)
Display Settings.

Adjust the resolution... The bigger the numbers are ie. 1440x900, the smaller the font and icons, the larger the resolution ie 800x600, the bigger everything gets and fills the screen back up.

Try several settings... Windows will give you 15 secs to make up your mind or revert. You'll find a happy medium doing this.

Screen larger

That's because your game changed the resolution of your screen, to correct this, right click on any empty spot on your desktop and select properties, then go to the last seccion which is Display options there's a bar there move it to the right and click apply to see if that's your desired resolution, if it goes to small move to the left, to big move to the right then click accept, you should get warning asking you to keep the resolution click yes and you're done.

Print on screen too small

It depends a lot on your operating system.

In brief, decrease the resolution on your monitor (go from 1024x768 to 800x600 for example) which will make everything bigger (this is under control panel -> display options in XP) or go to Accessibility options (or ease of use options in Vista) to set font sizes larger (just make text bigger, not everything else).

Hope it helps.

If you need further help, please tell us what your operating system is...

Display is huge

In changing the display settings did you change the resolution? If not, then set the resolution to a lower setting, apply, then set it back to where it was. If you've done this, then uninstall the video drivers from the device manager, and reboot. This will fix any driver glitch that may be causing it. At this point, if the problem persists, connect an external monitor and ty adjusting the resolution on it. If you cannot adjust it on the external then the video car has malfunctioned, if you can, then check Acer's support site for any updated video drivers, or patches for the current.
