Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Error i keep getting an error message saying to check print cartridge. replaced it and still says the same thing.

    i think it must be the printer itself..i have always used hp cartridges....thanks

Did you use HP cartidge? HP printers work best and can only eliminate errors if you use genuine HP cartridges. If you didn't, get a HP cartridge. If you did, double check to make sure it's seated correctly and if you need to you can clean the contacts where you insert the cartridge. You can wipe them very gently with a piece of cheese cloth or a coffee filter.

Error message saying incorrect print cartridge.


Check the Electrical contacts on the cartridge itself, they all need to be clean and nice and shiny to work properly. Make sure you haven't overfilled the cartridge too, this can sometimes cause problems. To be honest, the HP cartridges do 'wear out' after a few refills. when they go electrically dead, there is nothing you can do about it apart from buy a new one!

Can't find "cartridge error 50C" in my Dell owner's manual


Cartridge Error 50C
Your print cartridge has shorted.
  1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.
  2. Plug in your All-in-One again and turn it on.
  3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.
  4. If this does not resolve the issue, try the troubleshooting steps for the other cartridge errors below.
Cartridge Error
Complete the following instructions:
  1. Power off your All-in-One.
  2. Use both hands to lift up the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it open.
  3. Turn the All-in-One on. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.
  4. Remove the color print cartridge.
  5. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  6. If the error message reappears, replace the black print cartridge with a new print cartridge.
    If it does not repeat steps 1-3 and then go to step 7.
  7. Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black print cartridge.
  8. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  9. If the error message occurs again, replace the color cartridge.
  10. If an error message reappears, repeat steps 1-3 and reinstall both print cartridges.
  11. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  12. If you receive the error message again, replace both cartridges.

Keep getting replace yellow ink cartridge error message


Hi,

Where did you get the error message on printer or computer?

If you get the message on printer remove all cartridges and reinsert the cartridges and align the ink cartridges. If the alignment page prints successfully then the problem is resolved.

If you get the message on the computer disconnect the usb from computer. uninstall the software and reinstall the full feature software by selecting connect USB later.

Remove and check print cartridge


Remove the cartridges and check them. If faulty, replace them.

Error Message 1203??


These steps are for a Lexmark 4200, but I suspect they will work for your printer as well:

Cartridge Error: 1203

Your print cartridge has a short.

1. Press Power to turn your All-In-One off.
2. Unplug your All-In-One from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in your All-In-One.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.

If this does not resolve the problem, see More troubleshooting options, or replace your cartridges.

There is no doubt in my mind it Will be the cartridges you are using, alignment will continue to be requested if print out is missing bits do yourself a favour and use HP gen., not trying to plug HP just telling you the facts

Constant error message


Check the manual on how to RESET the printer. It is not always revealed - some makers like to keep some things secret from users. If there is not a separate RESET button or the manual does not tell you, then try pressing various buttons in the printer section in combination with the power off and whilst holding the down- power up. It will be a trial and error thing - so if you do find it- make note of it for you and post it here.
