That's not generic; what OS are you using, and what does the software need to do? Just provide drivers for your device; which should be the problem type rather than Generic; or do backup, crypto, use HFS+ for mac compatibility, and organize your stuff to save you time?

Bios currupted antivirus shut down can`t change settings

Download an updated Bios for your computer from another computer. Remove the Hard drives and using a computer that is not infected and has good Virus Protection connect the Hard Drives up 1 at a time as slave drives to the good computer then scan the drives to remove viruses. Once the Bios is downloaded copy it to a portable media your computer can access extracting it from the .zip file if needed. Insert the media into your computer and run the Bios Update from the removable media. This should fix the bios problem. After your hard drives are scanned and cleaned reinstall them and boot the system. You should be up and running. Good Luck.

My pc tells me that I'm running out of hard drive

You can use either.

You can also use external portable hard disk, you can move all your software and stuff to it.

Better would be installing a new operating system to new hard **** with larger capacity, it will make your system fast.

You can also fit hard disk in your computer PC cabinet, you will just need to set it as "Slave" or secondary hard disk, to do this, setting is available on the hard disk.

Dell DimE310 wont reeboot

You should be able to get a start up software that is a portable software that can reside on a usb stick. Hunt for this software using google. Call out for a portable xp or what ever OS system ... and you can use this as a startup. When it does start up go to safe mode and resolve the hard drive errors with trojan virues or defrag, then use error professional pro to clear out dll and other problems. Most times all the problems are found it the unused program paths and other internet cookies and affliates thet go along with the rest of the errors. You can also get Regcure, this is also a good system problem solver. This softwae really works.

At the Iomega support site, you'll also find downloads, but Windows should recognize the drive automatically.

Have got a Maxtor Basics external portable hard drive running off XP Home. It has installed fine and is recognised by XP - everything looks OK. The only thing is... how do I begin to backup all of my PC...

The drive should have come with software to do just that. If it didn't then there are many programs out there that you can use to do just that. Nero is one of them, you can download a trial version at www.nero.com.

I bough a portable hard drive it is deleting imformation every time i delete information from my computer the portable hard drive does the same

You must have installed software that probably came with the portable hard drive to back up or sync files. The backup/sync option is doing just that on your back up drive. Open the software you installed and tell it not to delete files that you delete on your computer.

Very low disc space

In order for your laptop to properly operate you should keep at least 10% of your hard disk drive free, as this space is needed for your computer to properly operate. Move some of your current files to the external hard drive and remove them from the mail drive, then defraf drive and you should have smooth sailing.
