Many things can interfere with the signal

  • distance from router
  • brick Walls
  • wireless phones near router
  • aerial loose on router
sometimes, wrapping aluminum foil, around the aerial to make it bigger can help.

good luck

I'm in the middle of my afternoon internet time, (2pm-6pm daily) & my belkin wireless router's internet light begins flashing & I then lose connectivity, what could it be? A driver issue maybe?

it could be. i owned a wireless router one time, (a fairly cheap one) and it was under almost constant, heavy usage (2 - sometimes 3 wireless laptops, 1 desktop and xbox live) and one day it just gave out. it could be a driver problem, but what i would do is unplug the router, let it set for 30 seconds or so, then plug it back in. this almost always fixed any router i stumbled across.

No wirless signal from router

What brand of router do you have? what specific model? check your router lights if the wireless lights are on, make sure that the antenna's are properly attached . By the way how many wireless computers do you have? if it's a laptop make sure to check if the wireless is enabled. Sometimes you have to turn on a switch or a button for the wireless to be enabled, or hit a function key (Fn+F4) most commonly. If none of these works, we'll take a look inside your router's user interface for settings.

Wireless router setup

is the problem that "nothing coming from the modem to the router"
if the router has more than one Lan port try the cable from the modem to the router, in the first lan port or the last port.

if its a wireless problem, ensure wireless is enabled on the laptop and the router,if you set up a security key ensure that it is put into the laptop wireless setting

sometimes you need to turn on the modem first then turn the router on after a little while to sort the ip address out before trying to connect the laptop, in the first instance.

hope this is of some help but more info would be good

good luck

Wireless internet

The other unit needs a wireless adapter to talk to the router wirelessly

make sure that the wireless function is turned on in the router software ,

you need to enter an IP address in the internet explorer to get into the router, (this should be in the manual or printed on the base of the unit).

you will need to enter a user name and password, (read the manual for these), sometimes, admin admin ,or admin password)

if you used a security key, make sure it is in the wireless software, of the wireless pc/laptop

good luck

be sure on your desktop that you have all the wireless options setup correctly..

has your laptop been on a wireless network from your place before? let me know if any of this helps.. unfortunately, the cable company only supports up to a router, sometimes they will help with the router part.. let me know if i can help anymore..
thx, d
