the camera says the flash is working, but it doesnt! nothing ever happened to it, like it got wet or something. one day, the flash just stopped working.

I have the Canon SD550, the flash has stopped working. There is a symbol on the right hand side of the LCD display that looks like the camera with the flash going off. What does this mean?

I have a Cyber-Shot Camera DSC-S40 and the flash is not working all of a sudden. You can hear it trying to cut in but it won't flash and pictures are dark.
