You need to remove the unit 1st to get the seriel number thats stamped in to it then go online and look for a radio unlock site?almost all will charge between £5-£10 free ones tend to be a waste of time as they dont work?
hope this helps you out?

How can i bypass the security code. bought car used and changed battery now can not unlock receiver

Hi,
If this is not a factory fitted radio, then you need to contact the Radio manufacture of the head-unit and give them the serial number they will give you the code to unlock it.
If it is a factory fitted radio, then you will need the contact the Vehicle manufacture give them the VIN number of the vehicle and then they will give you the code for the radio.
Thanks

I have kdc-mp922 stereo bought from garage sale.wat is security code?how do I obtain access without knowing code?anyone know a way 2 reset code?

The anti-theft code cannot be bypassed. It wouldn't be much good if it was so easy to defeat.

The only way to get your radio working is to enter the correct security code. Enter the search term "Kenwood radio code" into your search engine to find suppliers who claim to be able to sell you a code, but they need the radio serial number in order to assist you. Be careful who you use though, some companies just take your money, provide a useless code and refuse a refund so try and research the supplier before sending any money. If the supplier is bad then there will be plenty of complaints online about them.

BMW do not make radios but affix their name badge to radios made by the the well known brands (ALPINE , BECKER ,BLAUPUNKT ,CLARION ,PIONEER )

so firtst find the MAKE of radio in your car.

Then look it up here on this free code entry website

Good Day,

KENWOOD SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure

These codes are applicable for all Kenwood radios that do not have DVD or DVD screens located on unit.

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds

(so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio

stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!

Gm Delphi radio code

Below worked for me just two days ago... you DO NOT NEED to take it to the dealer and you do NOT need to disconnect the battery, this can all be done with a couple clicks on your radio and call into a phone number.
This was posted previously on another post...
Procedure:
01. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)
02. Hold down the Radio Presets 2 and 3 buttons for six seconds
03. The radio display changes from LOC to a three-digit number. Write this number down. Don’t take forever, fifteen seconds max before the next step.
04. Press the AM/FM button
05. The radio display changes to another three-digit number. Write this number to the right of the first one.
06. You now have a six-digit number, the first three digits are from STEP 03 and the last three digits are from STEP 05
07. Call 1 800 537 5140
08. Press 1 then #. You’ll hear Invalid Code, try again
09. Press 139010 then #. You will be asked to enter your four or six digit code followed by *
10. Enter the number from STEP 6 then *
11. Listen to the four-digit number and write it down. It will be repeated twice
12. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)
13. Use the MN and HR buttons to enter the code from STEP 11
14. Press the AM/FM button. The radio display changes to SEC
Your radio is now un-locked and usable

Radio code for 1992 bmw 325is

I have a 1987 BMW 325iC. The radio code was in a radio manual. It says right in the manual that if you don't write the code down, the radio is worthless without it. My battery died and I had to put the code into the radio. It started working again. That is why I wrote the code down everywhere I could think. I am going to engrave it into the front of the radio.
If you don't have the 5 digit number anywhere around the car, or in it's paperwork, you are SOL!
