If it is the laptop password unplug the battery for a while the problem t will disappear. If it is the windows password I do nto know other that to reinstall the windows, loosing everything saved in the process.
Turn laptop off, unplug power and battery, use a screw driver to get back plate off. Then unplug the CMOS battery. Put battery back in, turn laptop on. Turn laptop off. Plug cmos battery back in. Put battery back in and when you turn laptop back on again password should have reset :)
The BIOS password is probably the Power On Password. This method may not work. Remove the BIOS battery for 20 mins until the charge in the BIOS is depleted. Insert the BIOS battery go into the BIOS setting and set the Date and Time etc. If this does nor work then the BIOS password is stored on an EEPROM chip and removing the BIOS battery won't work and there is probable no backdoor passwords. The Sony support maybe able to offer a solution, check the support WEB site..
There is actually no easy fix about this issue. Not even a possible way of bypassing the BIOS password. Normally re-flashing the BIOS software should fix it but it is done by the manufacturer and thus these kind of problems are normally tagged or considered tampering.
If you are referring with the windows password. You cannot retrieve the old password if you already forgot it. One way for you to be able to use the computer again is to restore it from the factory state. Turn off the computer then press the small button located right beside the power button. This will restore the computer back to factory state. Once the computer is restored, you can now type in whatever password you want.

Remove the battery and to the power cord. Remove the two screws that secure the keyboard. After removing the keyboard, remove the battery “RTC” to stop providing energy to epprom BIOS. After the upgrade or downgrade, or any repair, leave the Laptop for 5 minutes, without any source of energy. Then connect only the power cord without battery and without the battery “RTC” of the Bios.then turn on the pc without the battery and press f10 change the admin password put the battery of the laptop again not the rtc battery then save changes and exit, reeboot with the win xp disk inside , change boot order and done i garantied it work install xp and then connect the rtc battery done. jajaja easy
