Thank you for your reply. I tried tilting the laptop to no avail. I found the answer elsewhere. I took the plastic tips off a bobby pin and it grabbed onto the meory card and was out of the slot in two seconds.Thank you for your reply. I tried tilting the laptop to no avail. If you have already tried different memory card than there is something to do with the memory card slot it will be good to try open your device and clean the card holder with spirit.
Did you put it the right way around? Almost impossible to put it in the wrong way, but I don't know how strong your thumb is.
Then check is all connection points are clean and shiny, and straight. Not one should be bent or out of line. Also check in the camera. Look if perhaps some dust or paper is in the memory card holder. Check is the memory card holder / battery door locks correct.
Find the memory card in the device then take it out and into a slot some where in your computer. if you don't have a memory card you need to but one then slot it in to the camera load the pictures onto it then put it in the computer. if your computer doesn't have a slot then you can buy USB sticks with a memory card slot in then simply slot the memory card in and put the USB stick into the computer and load the files.
yes you can directly use the SD card slot, make sure you unlock the write protection before inserting it into the slot if you wish to modify or copy the contents from or to the card.
The two most likely causes are the card direction (I assume you've tried flipping it over), and bent pins in the bottom of the card slot. Take a look deep into the slot and look for any bent pins. They're very delicate, and don't like to be bent back and forth. I have had good success by straightening them with a thin screwdirver.
sadly a warrenty will not cover accidentally putting the card in the wrong way, as it is tecnically your fault, but you can use the slot for xd cards, if you do not want to pay for a new cf slot
well this has happened to many people before, me being one of them.
I was looking for ideas on the internet and a VERY clever person said to get a thin piece of card and put sticky tape onto it in a circle so its double sided and slide it in so that the memory card can come out! BRILLIANT!! I thought it wouldn't be strong enough, but it was, saved my life. Hopefully it can save yours. xo
