Question about Pantech Duo Smartphone
You have to go to start ,aplications, then to task manager. its like on a computor when u hit ctrl, alt, delete. it will have a list of all the programs that are running. highlight all the programs u arent using at that time and press stop.

Also you can just turn off ur phone and turn it back on. and then open it back up if it does the same thing, then delete some text messages and then try again. it took me like 5 times one night but i got it finally.

I also have the red pantech duo, and i'm extremely disappointed. i'm having the same problem you are along with it freezing all the time. and for some reason i can never set it to be completely silent... so whenever i get a message it has an annoying vibration.
