GE GSL25JFPBS Side by Side Refrigerator Logo

I have a loud whirring sound coming from the back of the Model GSL25JFPABS. I am pretty sure it is associated with the freezer since when I put the setting on the Freezer to zero the noise stops. When I turn the same freezer setting up to 1 or 2, the whirring sound comes back. What is the likely cause? What do you suggest I do?

I have a GE refrigerator model # GSL25JFPABS. I have been told that the main control board WR55X10656 has been "replaced" by # WR55X10942 now. However I found a 656 board pretty cheap locally and...

WR55X10942 is the board that goes into that machine,it's the most up to date board out there, why would you put a first generation board in there that you know is gonna fail when they upgraded it to the WR55X10942 and that's the board it calls for now so don't put the other board in there

My Dyson is making a really strange loud sound. It appears to be working. I just took it apart and cleaned the filter and the wand. When I put everything back together, it started making a heavy whirring...

Check the tips of the beater bar. I "bumped" mine to hard and broke a tip. Still worked! Just noisy. Called Dyson support and they sent me a new one no charge. Note. Mine had a loud whirring and a vibration.

Loud noise from freezer of GE model GSF25TGTB (Side by side)

Problems not related.  The first is most likely the fan, or possibly water dripping on to the fan and freezing, but usually the noise comes from the fan struggling to run.  The cube problem could be as simple as the ice dispenser being put back in wrong.  There is a metal lever under the ice tray that switches between crushed and cubed.  Make sure it is seated properly.

Our LG bottom freezer refridgerator is 2 years old. It is making a whirring noise that stops when the door is opened. It can get pretty loud at times.

The whirring sound is the fan that blows cold air into the refrigerator. It is supposed to stop when the door is opened. If it is making a loud noise there may be ice built up in the fan housing. Turning the power to the refrigerator off for a 2-4 hours may allow any ice in the fan to melt. If you do not open the freezer during that time the frozen food will not defrost. If the noise continues, you may have to take the fan apart to make sure it is not frozen. It is probably located behind the back inside panel of the freezer.

Loud noise coming from back passenger side wheel when backing up

sounds more like a brake wear sensor. The inner pads wear faster than the outer, so if you are checking pad wear, be sure to look at the inner pad. If you just had brake work done, one of the anti rattle clips on a pad may be contacting the brake rotor.
