Transfering Videos to my computer?

Hi ercham,

Thanks for your quick and helpful answer to my question about transfereing videos to my computer. It was appreciated. I just have one more question. After I copy all of the files from my 8 DVDs to my computer, how can I burn them all on one standard size DVD? Each of my mini DVDs has 30 minutes of video on it.

Thank you very much

Dear magician

you can use a video software like ulead, pinacle or with your sony software , make it compatible with standar dvd 8, 720X576 frame size and 25 frame rate for pal, 29 frame rate for NTSC , after that you can render it before you burn it

thks

Ok, I'm no expert when it comes to burning DVD media but if you're using Nero you should be able to just drag all the files you copied onto your pc into a Nero window.

Start Nero, open up a burn DVD movie window and drag the files into it. You ought to be able to fit 4 hours onto one disk but check the bar near the bottom to make sure.

As I said, my expertise really lies with hardware and operating systems so if this doesn't work for you post the problem again and somebody will be able to help you further.

I recall putting in a transfering chord and plugging it in on the other side and then your computer should make a noise like a cd in a video player and then something should pop up like Imovie and then you have a choice to import or delete them all but don't forget to be very careful which one you choose.
If you don't have a transfering chord go to the closest electronic store you have near you and ask for the help you need.

NO SOUND TRANSFERS TOGETHER WITH THE VIDEO TO MY COMPUTER

This happened to me. I know the solution. I uninstalled everio mediabrowser program that came on cd with the camcorder. The result was that I could not hear the sound when I played my videos. If you install Everio Mediabrowser again, the audio will play.

Hi there. You need to transfer your videos to your computer and then burn them to DVD using a program like Record Now, or Nero. You should be able to get this from Best Buy, or you can get it online from their websites. If you have any other questions, let me know with a comment. Thanks for coming to FixYa.

did you try to install the driver of your camcorder to your pc? if not then install it and it should be working for transfering videos. Use Ulead movie maker to upload your videos to your pc. after editing the whole videos save it with any types of videos. hope that helps!

I believe that camera only works with firewire. You might want to check with Canon to see if there is compatibility problems with Macs. I know it works on Windows computers.

Transfering video to Mac

Digital video on the ZR400 is transferred to a computer only via the DV out port, which will connect to a firewire port on a PC or a Mac. USB will not transfer video, only images to and from the card.

GSV 15 issue, PC is not able to recognize the DV port, unable to transfer video to PC

I had this happen to one of my Panasonic cameras, fortunately i had another camera i used for the capture process.

BUT get a magnifying glass and look at the camera firewire socket. Most firewire connect problems comes from a
"bent pin" in that socket. Otherwise it is off to the repair guy I am afraid.
