Bios Battery I saw that you were able to replace your bios battery for your 450rog. I was wondering how you were able to get to it. Could you please tell me how you were able to get to it? Thanks

What I did was removed all the case screws.and gently pulled the front left corner up.(front left as if you were looking at the screen).
You will need some hook nosed pliers to reach in and pull it out. replace with same size battery.

Hey, Just wondering if you have any ideas of by-passing hp650 notebook bios lock. HP has been no help so far and have said I void my warranty because of forgotten pass. Can you please help me. thank you....

Hi Steve,

If this is indeed a bios password and not a hard drive password, then removing the CMOS battery for around 30 seconds should wipe the BIOS and BIOS password, This isn't easy though, you'll need to take the laptop apart to remove the battery.

It's location can be seen in this video: at 8:48 you can see the CMOS battery at the top of the board, looks like a large silver watch battery.

Hope this helps.

Just bought this Samba 1845 system. Upon power on receive bios rom checksum error, insert system disk. Is the battery dead, bios need to be flashed again, please help

A BIOS sum check error is usually due to a near flat BIOS battery.
Replace the BIOS battery and configure the BIOS Date & Time setting etc.

Toshiba l300d bios battery

Not knowing what your skill level is, I would recommend having this done by a pro unless you feel comfortable disassembling virtually the entire unit. The bios battery is on the motherboard and depending on the model, it may be necessary to remove the board. Good luck.

Gatway 450ROG PC Notebook and i forgot bios passward

Shame on you.

There are password erase programs out there, but they are pretty expensive. Best to take it to a techie who has one, and let them do the dirty work for you. Probably cost you $25 or $30us to have it done.

My Lenovo 3000 G400M Laptop's BIOS password was set automatically and unknowingly. I dont even know what password has been set. I tried a lot to reset it according to my knowledge, but all in vain. Please...

The easiest way to do this is to remove the keyboard and look for the bios battery. Unplug the laptop and remove the normal battery and then remove the bios battery for about 10 mins. Replace the Bios battery, replace the normal battery, plug the laptop back in and the password should be gone.
