Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3 Digital Camera

Panasonic FX3 Memory error: only takes 3 pictures

My panasonic DMC-FX3 will only take 3 pictures. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using the built in memory or the 1GB SanDisk. The camera only allows me to take 3 pictures either way. Will replacing the SanDisk fix this or is it a problem with the way the camera is writing to memory in general? Yikes. Any ideas?

Possibly related: Before this issues, I had 3 photos that the camera would not delete. They appeared black in the view finder and would not delete. As I'm typing I'm realizing this must be related as the 3 black photos are now gone too.

I would recommend formatting your existing disk. If that doesn't cure your problem then replacing the disk should do.

Hope this helps,

erch.

How to transfer images from panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 to mac

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.

Should you use an 8gb sd memory card in a panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 camera ?

Hi,

The manual lists the following SD cards compatible:

4 GB SDHC Memory Card
2 GB SD Memory Card
1 GB SD Memory Card
512 MB SD Memory Card
256 MB SD Memory Card
128 MB SD Memory Card
64 MB SD Memory Card

An 8GB card may or may not work. If you try it, make sure it is an SDHC card. (Note: HC=High Capacity)

Panasonic DMC-FX3 doesn't detect memory card

Hello Janaecooley,
The card section of the camera must be cracked or damaged due to fallen. First option is to get repair from any expert, Second option is that you want to get the pictures present in your memory stick. for this you can get you snaps to put your card in a CARD READER and save it at you computer. In market various card readers are available with very low price. Buy one that suits yous memory stick.
