you need to add an exception for yahoo navigation to your firewall. that's why it's not working (at least that's what it sounds like) try and disable your firewall so you can verify that's the problem. if it is, simply go into firewall and click add an exception and navigate to the directory where yahoo navigation is stored.
Type http://www.yahoomail.com or http://mail.yahoo.com on the address bar of your web browser. Those links will lead you directly on Yahoo! Mail web page.

Clear your browser history, go to tools and then Clear Private Data, or Clear Recent History. It delete all the cache,offline datas and etc. See if it works.
