Question about Ricoh Aficio 1035 Copier

1 Answer

Finisher keeps acumilating print jobs assuming they are not separte ones.

Hi,

We have a RICOH MP1100 (110 ppm) with a fnisher and booklet maker set up. We are sending 8k+ print jobs to production. Print jobs have 2 - 12 pages each and they are stapled by printjob. All of a sudden a print job sits in the finisher as well as others coming behind it and they dont' move ahead.

Does the file it's self have something to do with this situation? (Do I have to look into the pdf... code? ) Is it a problem at hardware level, firmware (we updated all) it happned before we changed from RCPS to PCL and thought it was fixed; now it comes up again with no apparent reason.

Like to know if it's a hardware or software issue and how to proseed.

Thanks'

It is possible that the hard drive in the copier is about to fail. Has it gotten worse??

How do I reload staples into my Xerox WorkCentre 7530?

You did not indicate finisher? Xerox MFPs' come with the most finishing options of any manufacturer.... I included instructions for all of them below. Enjoy!
Solution : Load Staples in the Professional Finisher With Booklet Maker The stapler in the booklet maker uses two Staple Cartridges labeled R2 and R3. Booklet stapling requires that both Staple Cartridges be free of jammed staples.
WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the printer has stopped copying or printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

  3. Squeeze the orange R2 and R3 levers together and pull the Staple Cartridge unit out of the Finisher until it stops.

NOTE: The Staple Cartridge unit does not detach from the Finisher.

You have to set it in the print driver.
When you make print go to properties and select colate. If you do that it should go to the finisher and separate the jobs.
See you!

Making a booklet out of a multi-page PageMaker file

many questions, the answer should be yes and all is in the driver settings but it all depends on if you have the correct driver installed and configured correctly for your copier and if your finisher is a booklet finisher. if you have every thing laid out in page maker correctly and the driver is setup correctly then it should do just fine.

Good Morning, We have the Ricoh Pro 1106EX Copier. Is there any way to print more than 10 booklets at a time? Any way to increase the amount? Very time consuming to stand and remove booklets all day....

the problem is that the finisher youhave can only hold so many copies the sensor that indicates the tray is full is stopping the run. yu might be able to put the switch up and then tape it in place but you will still have to take the booklets out some time..

Well, I don't have a document in that format exactly to play with, but assuming you are using the PCL 5c driver, it should be a fairly simple task. If your using another driver (ie: RPCS) then it will be similar, just a little different looking dialog box.
Open your document, Select "Print", select "properties", you can change the "orientation", and "layout" (pages per sheet), 'duplex', and staple (assuming you have a booklet finisher installed and configured in your printer properties). There is an icon in the left corner that changes with the settings and should help you with the them. Obviously, you should only print 1 set, or even just a page or 2 to check the output. These types of things are always a bit of trial and error until you have done it a couple times. I hope this helps

Printing a Booklet on a Ricoh Africio 3260C

first you need to use the RPCS printer driver supplied by ricoh. Second then go to printer properties box and then select the tab for finishing, you should then see the options for booklet printing, if the option are not there you have to add the finisher in the printer driver as an option
