Re: 1 red light on 360
Make sure that all of the pins for the harddrive are lined up properly, and make sure that they aren't bent at all. If that doesn't work, it may just be a faulty drive, in which case you will probably have to replace it(the hard drive).

The e68 error on your Xbox 360 is caused by a hard drive/HDD problem. It can be caused by an internal connection error
with the hard drive, a general failure of the hard drive, or overheating
of the hard drive. Basically, there is quite a large range of things
that can cause the Xbox 360 e68 problem, which can make troubleshooting
the issue slightly difficult.
To fix the e68 code on your
Xbox 360 is to remove the internal hard drive and try playing your
console without it. If it then works, then you can be sure that you can
permanently fix the problem. If not, then you will have more serious
issues on your console that will need to be checked over by Microsoft,
as the e68 is generally believed to be related only to your console's
try removing the hard drive and see if the xbox plays without it. error 68 could be internal fault or external but is a harddrive fault. if it plays without the hard drive, you need a new hard drive. if it still does not work with the hard drive removed, you may have an overheating problem. this could be fixed by you by following many of the online guides or if you have a warranty maybe microsoft will fix it? the 3 red light fix will fix most red light errors. i would suggest upgrading the fans too if you plan on fixing it yourself.
is the error code e74 or e68,if its e68 take harddrive off and turn console on and should work,if its e74 your console needs fixing,if its still in the 3 year warranty microsoft will fix for free if over 3 years then buy an xclamp kit and go to youtube for videos how to do this repair, dont do towel trick, you will do more damage to console
maybe try bringing it to the shop you bought it in and they ould tell you the problem or they will send it to the xbox company to get it fixed or if all else fails they will give you a new one!
Only if it is still in its guarentee and if you have the guarentee. if you don't have the guarentee or its too late for that you can look online for a solution! i mean like you can find anything on google!
Where is the flashing light? If it is at the 3rd position (bottom right) only, then the screen should say E68 error. If this is true, turn off the system, take off the harddrive, put the harddrive back on and turn the system back on. This happens to mine frequently. If its 3 of the lights, then you are out of luck my friend. Red Ring of Death...

This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes.... It can also happen because of a bad eeprom or a wrong security sector. It can also be a problem with the internal connection of the harddrive to the mainboard...According to XBH: Hard drive not DMA configured<br />
e73 <br />
This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between.<br />Mostly it is one of the outer solder balls on the side facing the (H)ANA chip so a shim increases the chanced of success quite a bit.<br />Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the (H)ANA chip.<br />
