Probably main bowl bearing needs to be replaced
if the bearing is dry this will grab on the gearbox and not allow the gearbox to spin freely

Our whirlpool wfs1285aw doesn't seem to be spinning and drying out clothes enough when Finished. The clothes are still drenched. Any ideas how to rectify this? Is there a filter that needs cleaning?

the rinse section spins slow while the rinsing is in process as this does 2 things
spreads the water through the clothes for a proper rinse
spins slow to equalize the cloths around the bowl
when the rinse cycle is finished and the tap is shut off it goes into a high speed spin
Your problem sounds like the program is not going to the high speed spin cycle and that would indicate a problem board
call a technician for a proper diagnosis and quote

My front load washer will not spin on the final spin cycle. Washer spins in wash and rinse cycle spin. Cloths are still soaking wet.

I appreciate your post, Rachel Kovach!

From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer is not spinning the final spinning and the clothes are still wet. If you washer is overloaded it will not spin properly to release the water out of the clothes. Also, a small load will cause your washer to not spin properly. You should additionally check the drain hose to make sure it not kinked or twisted that could cause your improper draining. If all that checks properly it could be an issue with your drain pump, motor, and control panel. I would suggest consulting with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Why is my maytag Neptune Model no# MAH5500AWW spinning very slow and not draining water out?

Complete drain must occur before spin. A no drain situation would be an actual full pool of water seen in the bottom of the machine if all the cloths were removed, sounds like you are experiencing a spin enable switch failure, which mainly prevents final high speed spin leaving the cloths dripping wet. The spin enable switch contacts become tarnished/corroded over time resulting in poor connection. If the door lock light comes on than your door lock wax motor is working. The spin enable switch is the last switch to the right in the door lock unit where the light bulb is. Part# is 22002162. If there is an actual pool of water in the bottom of the machine as if you simply removed the cloths from the unit but left the wash water, than you should look first look to your drain pump for failure, or obstruction of foreign objects, or excess lint in the pump. Cloths are cold after final rinse cycle ...they use to be hot

The clothes should be cold after rinses, if they were hot before, then something was wrong.
Most washers do at least 3 cold water rinses, so they should be cold, this prevents creasing.
Hope this helps.

Does not seem like the dishwasher is drying like it used to. After it has gone through its entire cycle the is steam condensation on all the dishes and the inner door. Previously, at the end of cycle...

Have you run out of Rinse Aid ?
This has a large effect on drying as well as how clean the dishes come out. Rinse aid [breaks up] the water dispersion, so at the end of the final rinse, the water just falls off the dishes, takes the sediment with it. So with the heat of the final rinse, & less water left on the dishes, they dry better.

Soapy cloths after wash

first make sure the drain is at the right height(the exit should be about the same height as the main part of the washer) are the clothes spinning? could be a gearcase problem, also your pump might be clogged good luck!!
