--> boot the xp cd sp2    with restart of ur computer. --> press   conitnue-->agree-->don,t repair
u will get a window with known partitions   --> then select  c:  drive    to delete  -->  after delete  , select "create"  with NTFS as file system   , with the same size of that drive.

then   select c:   drive  and   "continue"..

this type of partion   may solve ur problem....

thank u   ....

If you will be loading xp on the new drive,You will just need to press F6 during the setup when ask if you want to install 3rd party driver, and follow the instruction and put the SATA driver disk in when ask.(Even during xp setup It will say SCSI device until all the drivers for it are loaded)

I want Windows Xp with out service pack

M8! you need to look for one of the first versions of XP on ebay or something. You cant find any XP without any servicepack today.
And IF you find any, dont forget to deactivate the updates or you will get the servicepacks installed sooner or later.

Good luck

Motherboard upgrade??

Dear kaname,

Your computer can support Windows XP, which has better hardware support and compatibility with the 2003 Office suit. XP also updates your hardware automatically once you are on the internet. You might want to try this.

Keep in mind that the older the Operating System, the harder it is for Office suites to compat. Newer Operating systems have better support for your computing. If you don't have HDD problems, the BIOS should not prevent you from loading SP2 for Win2000.

Conclusion:

1. The SP2 Source Disk may have a problem
2. The Win 2000 you have already loaded may be missing components, preventing the SP2 to load.
2. Notton Antivirus versions and the 2003 office both reject Win 2000. They just don't like it; it's getting too old.

Get with it, Kaname!!!!
