There is a reset switch on the router you have at home. Use a paper clip to press and hold the reset button in for a few seconds to allow the router to reset. This will reset the router to default settings and you should be able to connect to it at this point. Log into the router and set up a securty key so that no one else cans steal your internet

I just bought a laptop and I wanna connect to wifi how can I do it?

First you must understand that wi-fi only works within a certain distance from the wireless router. It's not like cellphone reception where the wireless provider installs cells throughout the countryside to make sure that you can get reception. You have to either get your own internet connection to your house and your own wireless router, and then you have to install the wireless router, or you have to go to a coffee shop or other establishment (public library?) that provides its patrons free wireless internet while they are on the premises. Once you do one of those two things, then (in Windows 7) you have to click on the network connection icon in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, then click on the name of the wireless network that you want to connect to and click "connect", and then if prompted, type in the network key for that network. After this, you should be connected to the internet wirelessly as long as you are within range of that wireless router.

Won't recognize home wifi, though it does recognize cafe wifi

Check the settings on your router, make sure it is transmitting 802.11b AND 802.11g. Perhaps your previous laptop is accepting the signal that is possibly 802.11g, but the older laptop is needing b. If that doesnt work, go back to the cafe, and see if you are still able to connect. If not, check the settings to make sure wireless is still enabled. Some laptops have a slider button on the front or side to enable/disable wifi, one of mine has it and sometimes i accidently turn it off. If it is indeed on, try disabling it, and re-inabling it.

My laptop has Wi FI My mobile also has wifi can

No. Laptop and Mobiles are passive WiFi receivers. You will need a WiFi router which when connected to internet will create a WiFi zone around it. You can no connect your laptop and mobile to this router.
