When the TV is turned on after being off over night, or for a few hours; the Tv powers on and the screen becomes filled with a static field and the speakers emmit a loud screeching sound. After a few seconds the TV powers itself off, then back on, and works normally.

Most likely the main mother board of the TV is the problem. The main board controls everything inside the TV from audio to video and TV program software. There maybe loose connection to the main board or the board is starting to go bad.

Check online - it is a known problem with the Samsung. it is possibly a capacitor on the board. I was able to replace 2 of them years ago and it solved the problem. good luck.

Every night at 7.30 we dont have signal in our bloc.for 2-3 hours is not only my TV but everybody else have the same problem. After 2-3 hours all become good again. What can be the problem??

There are repeaters for the cable TV on the way and some need power to boost the signal.

Could it be possible, If the power to this repeater is drawn from a nearby post/outlet/house that is automatically programmed to power off for 2~3 hours every night ?

Sanyo DP26649 screen blacks out and sound becomes loud static

Most likely you will need to get a diagnoses performed on the set. Your problem could be with either the main board or power supply board. The million dollar question is do you repair or replace? With parts and labor to repair this set, you could come out cheaper replacing it.

The picture is visible but there is an opaque blue area in the picture on the left side of the screen

Sony bravia

This blue is caused by magnetic fields. Either the speakers of tv is faulty or demagnatziser not working. Switch of tv and remove powercord from wallsockets. Leave for about 10 hours and plug in powercord and switch on. if demagnatiszr is working the blue will be gone. if not have youre tv demagnetized

If hometheatre or radio speakers are closer than ½ meter this could also generate coulouration of screen. move speakers further away. If tv is on and and being moved your static electricity can also cause this. So switch of if if you move your tv.

Sony wega trinitron won't turn on

  • Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted. Check IC1509, Q1505
  • Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

    Sound and Volume trouble

I bought my Insignia 32" LCD in November 2007 - same problem. I figured out that if you press the "input" button on your remote select any of the other options "component 1, composite 1, etc.. that you're TV isn't on -then press "input" again and go back to the component that you're TV plays on - you'll have volume when you go back every time. I've gotten so used to doing it now that it's become habit. 9 times out of 10 I have to do it.
