Well the reason is you proboly dont have max media manager for psp. it comes with all store bought psp's. if you need my cd key ill gladly give it out. but you also need the disk that comes with it to install it on your desktop. it also has one in a psp video form that inserts into your psp and you can drag and drop files form there anything else ill be glad to answer.

My psp where going to reforman now my question how to back old save data

Plug your PSP into your computer using a USB cable, and select the "USB connection" option in the PSP's settings.

Now, on your PC, in "My computer" you should see the PSP connected, and it will appear as a hard drive. Open it, and find the SAVEDATA folder. Copy that folder anywhere on your computer, such as your desktop.

Then, after the PSP is reformatted, copy the SAVEDATA folder back onto the PSP using the same connection process as above. As long as you didn't rename any files, it should save it all for you =)

Dont kno how to put music and videos in my psp

Putting music or videos on the PSP is a fairly simple and straightforward process.

What you'll need:
  • a mini USB to USB cable (to connect the PSP to the computer)
  • a memory stick (to store your music and videos)
Instructions:
  1. Put the memory stick in the PSP.
  2. Connect the PSP with the mini USB to USB cable to the computer
  3. On the PSP, go to the settings menu and select "USB Connection."
  4. Your computer should recognize that a device has been connected to it, open up the device (your PSP) inside a file viewer, such as windows explorer. There should be a few folders here one named Video and one named Music.
  5. Add the music and video files to these folders, and press O(circle) on the PSP to end the USB Connection.
  6. If all has gone right, and the files are the correct formats, you should be able to enjoy your music and videos on your PSP.

I downloaded the update but the pc cannot open the file . the updater is called eboot. i have it in my pc but cannot open it

The file is not supposed to be opened by your PC. You have the transfer the file from your PC to the PSP. To do this, you need a USB cable and you have to plug your PSP into your PC.

Download procedure
  1. Prepare to save the update data on either system storage or Memory Stick Micro™ (M2)™ media, using one of the following methods:
    • Connect the PSP® system to the PC using the USB cable
    • Connect a commercially available Memory Stick USB reader/writer to the PC
    • Use the Memory Stick slot on a PC
  2. Create a folder for the update data on either system storage or Memory Stick™ media.

Using your PC, create a folder named "PSP". Within the "PSP" folder, create a folder named "GAME". Within the "GAME" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE". (Folder names must be in all uppercase letters).
  3. Download the update data for the PSP-N1000 (PSP®go) series and save it in the "UPDATE" folder created in step 2.

Notice
You must save the downloaded data as noted in these instructions. If you do not save in the correct location and with the filename shown below, the system will not recognize the update data.
  • Location: Save in the "UPDATE" folder
  • Filename: Save as filename "EBOOT.PBP"
