If you receive an E3 Error code, your washer may be unbalanced. This could be caused by the washer being too tightly packed, or clothing not distributed evenly. This will usually occur during the spin cycle. Stop the spin cycle.
F8 is taking too long to fill. Check the filter screens on the rear hoses.
The F8 E1 or Lo FL error code means your washer is not detecting the correct amount of incoming water. If the washer has an F8 E1 error or LO FL error, the door may be locked, and the control may be unresponsive. Aug 21, 2023
If your Hotpoint FDEU 9640 washer-dryer is stopping prematurely during the dry cycle with all the LEDs flashing amber, it could be caused by a few different issues:
Check the filter: Make sure the filter is clean and not blocked. A blocked filter can cause the machine to stop working properly.
Check the venting: Make sure the venting system is clear and not blocked. A blocked vent can cause the machine to overheat and stop working.
Check the heating element: If the heating element is faulty, it can cause the machine to overheat and stop working.
Check the thermostat: If the thermostat is faulty, it can cause the machine to overheat and stop working.
Check the control board: The control board controls the various functions of the washer-dryer. If it is faulty, it can cause the machine to stop working.
If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the machine has a more serious problem that requires professional service.
It is important to refer to the user manual or contact Hotpoint technical support for further assistance and specific troubleshooting steps for your washer-dryer model. It is also important to make sure the machine is not plugged in before attempting any troubleshooting steps. It is also important to note that it is not safe to use a multimeter to test any of the heating element or thermostat
Sounds like the switch that tells the controller that the door is closed and locked is actually bad or the plastic molded part holding the switch is broken. Inspect the interface for cracks.
My washing machine is Samsung Top loading Model WA80B3, the problem is that the water inlet valve is continuously working all the time during the washing cycle and it does not stop automatically, so I have to run additional drying cycle after washing cycle and after closing the water supply manually
Sounds like the door lock unit isn't locking and may be bad. It is also a possiblity but not likely that there could be a problem with the computer board but start with the door lock unit first
Doesn't your unit have a lock light in addition to an on light? On mine when you start the machine a red light comes on, then after a minute or two the lock light above it comes on. Once the lock light lights, the machine shouldn't stop. If only the initial light comes on, the door isn't locking. As a result, as the drum moves the clothes and they push against the unlocked door, it turns the machine off. You might need to check/tighten the door latch. Also check the door wax motor/door lock assembly.
New door sensor im afraid, unless the machine senses that the door is properly shut none of your wash or spin cycles will start.Sensor located inside washer casing , where lock pin on door handle enters machine. It may just be loose, try tightening the two screws either side of lock keep.If it needs replacing you will need to UNPLUG washer ,remove lid and slide your arm down inside front of washer to access.Good luck.
