Your projector is it in the UK if so ring me i can try to help you, i doubt it is a DLP projector (they where not very good and now largley dropped) so it may need a service or it may be an LCD fault with more info i can help you if in the UK, 0871 597 0097
Do not try to clean this yourself the high UV from these units can damage your eyesight

Could be a bit of dust or fuzz inside of the lens element or by the DLP chip. The first order of business is to remove the lamp and look at the condition inside the projector. If it is, as I suspect, very dusty as no doubt the classroom is a very common "dusty" environment, then you may have some cleaning to do. Be careful not to try and blow out the unit too forcefully as this can damage some of the internal components and could force the dust further into the unit. It is always better to gently swab out the interior or use an electronics vac instead of a blower.
