Power off & disconnect everything. Usually 2 screws holding case on, undo these & slide panel off. Don't go in here unless you know what ur doing though or you could trash the whole thing. If you are going ahead make sure you have everything backed up on disc.

To manually open a CD Tray on a Desktop

to manually open a CD Tray on your Desktop computer look for a small pin hole under the door. If you insert a small diam paper clip it will push the tray open just enough for you to grab the tray and open it up the rest of the way.. Good Luck

I usually dual monitor and have programs open on both. now that i am at home i do not have my second monitor only my laptop. when i go to open a certain program it opens on my "second monitor" that isnt...

You should go to the display properties on your laptop while at home and disable the dual monitor setting. You should then have all programs open on your laptop screen and not on the secondary monitor. If running XP, right click an open spot on desktop and select Properties. If running Vista, right click an open spot on desktop and select Personalize. Go to Display Settings, select the second monitor and uncheck "Extend the desktop onto this monitor". Hope this helps.

Disable windows active desktop then reactivate it. That will take care of it. Microsoft Windows XP users
  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Open the Display icon.
  3. Click the Desktop tab.
  4. Click the Customize Desktop button.
  5. Click the Web tab in the Desktop Items window.
If you wish to enable the Active Desktop, check "My Current Home Page". Add your current home page into your desktop or click New to add another web page and/or other Active Desktop features. To update the content, click the Synchronize button.
If you wish to disable Active Desktop, make sure all checkboxes in this window are un-checked.
Microsoft Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 users
  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Open the Display icon.
  3. Click the Web tab in the Display Properties window.
If you wish to enable the Active Desktop, check the checkbox for "Show Web content on my Active Desktop" and select the home page you wish to use as the active desktop.
If you wish to disable Active Desktop, make sure that "Show Web content on my Active Desktop" is unchecked.

My toshiba equium has flipped the desktop page

Open Control panel, open Display. Display Properties will open on your desk top. Click the Desktop tab. Set position for stretch.
If this is not what you want than find a clear spot down at the task bar. Right click once a pop up window will open, pick your flavor. Still not what you want? Explain in more detail what you want.
Enjoy..
