I have a security system query BOSCH CC404 Solution 844 but the web site doesn't list security systems.

Therefore, I recommend beginning the troubleshooting process by verifying that Java really isn't working. The easiest way to do this is to go to this special test page, which will tell you conclusively whether Java is working.
  • 2: Remove version conflicts If the installation appears to succeed, but Java is not working, check to see whether the Java Control Panel exists within the Windows Control Panel. If the Java Control Panel is missing, the problem is often related to a conflict with JavaFX or legacy Java code. In these situations, you should use the Windows Control Panel to remove any instances of Java. After doing so, use theMicrosoft uninstaller to clean up any Java fragments. Then, try installing Java again.
    3: Use the offline installer The Web installer for Java tends to be a little bit buggy. That being the case, the offline installer package will sometimes succeed where the Web installer fails. You can download the offline installer for Windows.
    4: Try the 32-bit version If you're having trouble installing a 64-bit version of Java, try using the 32-bit version instead. Although 64-bit Java would seem to be the logical choice for use on a 64-bit operating system, the 32-bit version seems to have fewer issues.
    5: Install with administrative privileges If you run into problems installing Java on Windows 7 or Windows 8, try installing Java as an administrator. To do so, download the offline installer and save it to an empty folder on your hard disk. Then, right-click on the executable file and choose the Run As Administrator command from the shortcut menu.
    6: Temporarily disable User Account Control Some people have reported that the User Account Control feature gets in the way of installing Java.     7: Set Internet Explorer's security to the default level If Internet Explorer is configured to use a higher-than-default security level or if it is running a custom security level, there is a possibility that Java may be blocked. You can set Internet Explorer to the default security level by opening your browser and selecting the Internet Options command from the Tools menu. When the Internet Options dialog box appears, click on the Security tab and click the Default Level button. Click OK to save your changes.
    8: Temporarily disable your antivirus scanning There have been some reports of antivirus software preventing Java from being installed. If you want to see whether your antivirus is causing your problem, I recommend downloading the offline installer, updating your antivirus software, and then performing a full system scan. This will help make sure that there are no infections on your system before you disable the antivirus software.
    Once you're confident that your system is free of malware, you can temporarily disable the antivirus scanning process. The method of doing so will depend on the antivirus product you are using, but often it is possible to right-click on the antivirus software's taskbar icon and choose a pause option from a shortcut menu. When you have finished attempting your Java installation, don't forget to re-enable antivirus scanning.
    9: Check for a corrupt user profile According to Microsoft, a corrupt user profile can cause problems with Java installations. Try creating a new user and assign that user local administrative permissions. Then, log in using the new user account and try installing Java.
    10: Use the System Configuration tool Since problems with Java installations are often related to other software that is running on the system, you may be able to fix the problem by temporarily disabling other startup items. The easiest way to do that is to open a Run prompt and enter the MSCONFIG command. This launches the Windows System Configuration utility, which allows you to choose the startup items that you want to disable without requiring any permanent changes to the operating system.

    How to Block Illegal Sites


    Click on the "Start" menu. Click on the "Control Panel" icon and double click the "Internet Options" icon. This will open up the Internet Options screen and allow you to restrict access to illegal sites.
    Click on the "Security" tab located at the top of the Internet Options screen. Click on the "Restricted Sites" icon, located below "Select a zone to view or change security settings." Click on the "Sites" button. This will open the restricted sites list.

    Enter the address of the illegal site that you wish to block in the dialog box under "Add this website to the zone" and click the "Add" button. This will put that address on the restricted list and block it from loading in the future.
    To remove a site that was added to the restricted list in error, choose the site from the list, located under "Websites." Click the "Remove" button. The site will no longer be blocked.
    Click the "Close" button when you have added all the illegal sites you wish to block. Click the "OK" button to save your changes.

    After you upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) in Microsoft Windows XP SP2, some SSL-secured (128-Bit) Web pages and Web sites may not work correctly. Frequently, this behavior is caused by security changes in Windows XP SP2. To determine why the pages do not display correctly, use the following methods in the order that they are presented.
    Turn off the pop-up blocker
    Internet Explorer SP2 includes the ability to block pop-up windows. This new feature may block some Web pages. To turn off the Pop-Up Blocker, follow these steps: 1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, and then click the General tab.
    2. Click the Privacy tab.
    3. In the Pop-Up Blocker section, click to clear the Block pop-ups check box.
    4. Click Apply.
    5. Click OK.
    Delete the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder
    If a copy of the Web page is in the Temporary Internet Files folder, the page may not display as expected. To resolve this problem, you must delete the contents of this folder. To do this, follow these steps: 1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, and then click the General tab.
    2. Click Delete Cookies, and then click OK.
    3. Click Delete Files, and then click OK.
    4. Click Clear History, and then click Yes.

    5. Click Restricted sites, and then click Default Level.

    Clear the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) state and the AutoComplete history

    Use the System File Checker tool to scan all files that are protected by Windows File Protection
    Use the System File Checker (Sfc.exe) tool together with the /scannow parameter to immediately scan and verify the versions of all the system files that Windows File Protection helps protect. If the Sfc.exe tool detects that such a file was overwritten, the Sfc.exe tool retrieves the correct version of the file from the Dllcache folder or from the Windows XP installation source files, and then replaces the incorrect file. The Sfc.exe tool also verifies and repopulates the cache folder. You must be logged on as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group to run the Sfc.exe tool. To run the Sfc.exe tool together with the /scannow parameter, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
    3. At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.
    4. Type exit, and then press ENTER.
    Third-party browser extensions
    Some third-party browser extensions and add-ons may interfere with how Internet Explorer views certain Web pages. To turn off these extensions, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Internet Properties.
    2. Click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
    4. Click Apply.
    5. Click Ok.
    6. Start Internet Explorer, and then try to reproduce the issue.
    If the issue does not occur, you can try to determine which third-party browser extensions may be causing the problem. To revert to the original settings, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, right-click Internet Explorer, click Internet Properties.

    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then under User Profiles, click Settings.
    4. In the Profiles stored on this computer list, click the user profile that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
    5. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.

    7. Log off the computer as Administrator, and then log on as the user. Windows XP will then create a new profile for the user.

    Certificate error on web site.


    This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone. When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:

    "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

    Or

    "Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."

    To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:

    Method 1:

    You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
    A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
    • Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
    • Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
    • Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear.

    Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.

    Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:

    • Open Internet Explorer
    • Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.

    I have a 64 bit HP pavilion with vista home premium. When the latest automatic update occured, it shut down Internet Explorer. In order to access the web I did a system recovery and shut off the automatic...


    Remove the update the caused the problem in add remove programs, then update manually, or turn off auto update. You can also install and use firefox instead of IE or try doing a repair to IE. Usually IE updates to version 8 and it has problems - version 7 works fine. Uninstalling 8 changes it back to 7. Version 8 will not download properly on a lot of sites - they changed it so U have to use Windows explorer instead to download from FTP sites, and it will not connect to some sites due to all of the security they installed. You could try using default settings on security and turn off filters to see if that works. When windows updates IE it automatically changes to high security.

    Cannot log on to certain web sitesbecause of security certificate issue


    Hello, one possible solution is to verify if the date and time is correct on your computer. If the date and time are incorrect the security certificate will appear to be expired. If this is the case adjust the date and time of your system.

    Can connect to internet but cannet assess web


    Hi.

    This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings.
    What i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the network adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the network card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

    I just want to check with you - is that the full error message? Usually it's something like: "The instruction at '<address>' referenced memory at '<address>'. The memory could not be read." So, there might be an address missing. Also, what operating system are you using?

    You might try running memtest86 to see if there's anything wrong with the physical memory in your system: http://download.cnet.com/Memtest86/3000-2086_4-10524193.html

    You could also try this if you have IE7:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. On the menu bar, choose Tools > Internet Options.
    3. Click the Security tab.
    4. Select the Internet zone and click the Custom Level button. The Security Settings window opens.
    5. Scroll down to the Scripting section of Settings.
    6. Under Allow paste operations via script, select Enable or Prompt.
    7. Click OK to close the Security Settings window.
    8. Click Yes when asked if you want to change security settings for this zone.
    9. Click OK again to close the Internet Options window.

    Unable to extract e-mails web site cannot be connected to due to browser settings


    Try these two methods for changing the security settings (if neither work go to Method #3):

    Method #1
    1. To lower the security setting in Internet Explorer:
    2. In the browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
    3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
    4. In the "Select a Web content zone" control, click the Internet icon.
    5. In the "Security level for this zone" area, reset security to Medium.
    6. Click OK.

    Method #2
    1. Select Tools Menu from Tool Bar
    2. Select Internet Options
    3. Select Security tab
    4. Select Custom Level button
    5. Scroll down to Downloads
    6. Under File Downloads - If the File Downloads is not disabled you will not be able to download files.
    To enable file downloads check the enable option.


    Method #3
