Hi, I'm on a Mac laptop with a AOC 19" monitor connected.  I was setting the resolution and accidently clicked on the wrong one... should have selected the 1400x900 but hit another one,    not sure which.  Now I get the "input not supported" floater and cannot get back to any other screen... can't see the mouse/arrow etc.  I tried to download the driver fixer but got a message that safari cannot open it.  i unplugged and disconnected everything but still get the "input not supported" box.

Any suggestions?  Is there a way to reset the res w/o needing to see anything on the screen?

I switched the monitor from it being originally on Windows Vista to Windows XP, because I was having problems with the monitor (flickering, tinting and at times going completely black). Now I'm trying to put it back on it's original computer and now it won't connect.. Instead it says "input not supported".. I've tried restarting in safe mode by pressing F8 continuously through start up and get nothing, but the same message. If I don't get this to work, I am anyways going to get a replacement monitor VERY soon.

When your computer is starting up, hit F8 and you'll see the safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc. screen...You should see a choice that says "enable vga mode". Select that and windows will start and the os will select a screen resolution for you. After that, everything will work fine...I hope.

Good Luck!

Start windows in safe mode, pressing F8 key when required on startup.
in safe mode click on any empty prortion of your desktop (no icons, just background) with right mouse button to recall drop down menu.
Last menu command must be properties, click it.
It will open display properties.
Click settings tab at the top of display property box.
Lower down resolution so that your monitor will work.

Input Not Supported: The Acer manual says to turn on the display BEFORE the computer. That must be done for plug-and-play to recognize the wide screen monitor.

I have an ACER X193W+ monitor and this "Input Not Supported" error drove me nuts as well. Come to find out, the cable was bad. I connected another cable from another monitor and it worked fine. Try changing your cable.

Hope this helps.

Just sounds like the monitor cable is loose or bad or the input mode on the monitor is set wrong - set it to auto or step through the modes.

Input not support, Acer V193w

if the monitor is DVI conencted to PCI card, the computer will not see the monitor, on boot up, only in the Windows mode.
replace the DVI connecting with a VGA connection on the monitor, if there is no VGA connection on the monitor then you need to get a VGA monitor and connect that to theVGA port on the motherboard connector at the rear of the computer.

Mitsubishi diamond pro says "no signal"?

You have tried the monitor on more than one known good computer, yes?

I believe about 4" inside this monitor in the back the vga cable or connector connects to a board with an in-line connector. Can you see if this connector (internal to the monitor) in connected?

Good luck...

Your monitor has several different video inputs.
Go to the configuration settings on your monitor and select the video input that matches the video cable from your computer.

Acer X243w monitor as a TV Pic great but "not supported" box

My assumtion is that the monitor is not displaying in 1920x1080 but has defaulted to a resolution that it can handle so as to display something. Step down the resolutions on the monitor until the gray box disappears. If you're satisfied with the picture your watching then hopefully you will be happy when you find the resolution the monitor is actually displaying.
Good luck!
