What model Lexmark is it? Do you have the driver CD, (the CD will have the word "driver" on it)?

Please download the scan driver from support.lexmark.com. After installing the scan driver, please check the scanner under Imaging Device from device manager. If scanner shows under imaging devices, open the scanning program and scan a document.
