You have posted this on a generic PDA drivers forum and not given us a clue as to what device you are having a problem with, can you give is any more information as to what you are actually having a problem with?
The more information you give us the more chance we have of helping you, but at the moment we can't even guess what you are having a problem with from the information you've provided.

When i try to get into my media file of my blacberry 8820 it gives me a message uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.controlledaccessexception how can i fix it?

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues like exception errors.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

This version has been known to correct alignment and configuration issues.

If the issue is still present, then it is hardware related, and will need to be repaired or replaced.

Can I get driver for Blackberry 7210 for free?

Hi Yes you can please go to blackberry.com and you can download latest version Blackberry Desktop Manager. and then you can install the software. To install the Universal Serial Bus (USB) drivers without installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software, install only the BlackBerry Device Manager (which was called BlackBerry Handheld Manager in versions prior to 4.1). When you install the BlackBerry Device Manager, you can charge the device and transfer data through the USB connection.
1) Start the installation of the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
2) In the Install Shield Wizard, when you are prompted to choose Typical or Custom installation, choose Custom and click Next.
3) On the Custom Setup screen, click the arrow next to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager option and select This feature will not be available.
4) Click Next and complete the installation.
I hope this information will help you.

My Vista 64 bit Toshiba Portege laptop wont recognize my HTC dream. I get a codec 10-device wont start. Any ideas?

I had the same problem on my 64-bit Vista desktop. Here's what I did to fix it:
  • I uninstalled the device and drivers from device manager
  • I downloaded the latest Androik SDK from developer.android.com/sdk/ (in my case, it was the 1.5R1, but now it's up to the 1.5R3)
  • I unzipped the package to a 'AndroidSDK' folder on my desktop
  • I reinstalled the drivers from device manager. Just click 'Refresh', and it should ask you for the drivers, if not just find the 'Unknown Device' in the list and right-click and select 'Install Drivers'.
  • When asked to find a driver, browse to the "AndroidSDK\Drivers\WindowsVista\64-bit\' folder on your desktop. It should install the proper drivers (took about 10 minutes for me), and everything should work after that...

BB Desktop Manager Error: Unable to Connect to device

I found this in a BB forum of tech guys. So no credit goes to me but it may help your problem

Go to Device Manager and click on RIM Handheld in other devices, as there is no driver but the device is still detected (may be listed under other devices too)

Double click on the RIM/unknown device

Choose re-install driver and select "Install from a list or specific location"

Then choose "Don't Search ...."

Select USB Controllers, hit next then browes to:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers
And select RimUsbNT.sys (may appear as an .inf file too)

Hit next and you’re done.

It will ask for a restart…go ahead and restart

Uncradle the BB

Soft reset the BB with the pin-in-the-hole trick (keep uncradled) (5min or so till it will be ready to recradle…) wait for the hourglass to disappear.

once you are logged back in as the user… recradle the BB and it should install is RIM handheld
