I just got a new m240 (a replacement for my old one, which had the infamous freezing issue), and XP will not install/recognize it when I plug it in. I've tried multiple USB ports without hubs. It won't show up as the device or Replaceable Storage.

Don't have software needed in order to convert pitcures to regular size.

When I turn it on and then go to photos and click on the photo I want it says please use Sansa Media Converter to convert this photo file and I do not know how to do that so if you could please help me with that, that would be helpful.

You don't need external software for the m240, everything should be on the player, check that when the USB is connected that is says MSC if you are having problems with the connection otherwise if you have a different problem or can be more specific, let me know

Sandisk micro sd card 1gb(SDSDQ-1024-A11MK)

You can't take songs from the Sansa to the mobile, but you can take them from your PC to the mobile (if your phone supports SD cards)

My Sandisk Sansa m240 lost all the songs and then I could not delete them. I was able to laod up new songs, but there was no spare memory. I was able to fix this issue by re-formating.

Using windows explorer right click on the "Sandisk sansa M240" and click "format".

Now working OK.
