Three orange power blinks indicates a 'Malfunction 5', and that your unit requires servicing. You can try pressing POWER on the unit for over 7 seconds, and then turning the set back on after 5 more seconds. If this doesn't help the set needs servicing.

If you didn't reset the lamp timer after replacing it, you might try that by following these steps.

If you think browsing the troubleshooting section of your operating manual may help, you can access it here.

I hope that helps.

The green light blink for a while and then shuts off and the lamp light blinks once red???

The green blinking lamp means that the TV is getting ready to start the lamp, and then one red LAMP blink means the lamp will not start. You may need a new lamp (Part TYLA1001.)

If a tech confirms this, and you can source the part, you can find TYLA1001 installation instructions here to save a few dollars, and PT-52LCX66 lamp timer reset steps here.

I hope that helps.

I have a Panisonic pt-52lcx66 that won't come on.

OK AT THIS POINT IT COULD BE A BALLAST ISSUE IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S NOT SENDING THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF VOLTAGE TO THE LAMP TO TURN IT ON, AT THE START IT NEEDS A KICK OF 15,000VOLTS TO TURN ON AND IF THE BALLAST IS WORKING CORRECTLY THIS WILL HAPPEN
HOPE THIS HELPS

My Panasonic PT-52LCX66 popped and cracked

His prices sound a little steep. Most ballast boards un $100-$200 Labor and service call should be $250-300. If you are bringing the TV to him, it should be less. Check with Panasonic for an authorized servicer in your area for a quote and maybe a little help with the cost of repairs. Sometimes, the manufacturer will agree to cover the part cost or more, so call them!

My Panasonic PT- 50LC13 doesn't turn on

Your service manual on page 82 steps you through decoding the blinking
1) there are two lights on the front near the reciever of the remote signals (Temp indicator and Lamp Indicator)
2) If the Temp indicator is on then they recommend you contact a service center
3) If the Lamp indicator is on and the power light stays on (no blinking) then you need to replace the lamp. Otherwise it says to contact the service center.
4) Counting blinks with the lamp indicator (1 every 5sec - lamp will not light or is abnormal, 2 every 5sec - lamp voltage is abnormal, 3 every 5sec - lamp temp is too high, 4 every 5sec - other error)
