Question about Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
My Canon ip1600 suddenly stopped reconizing the color ink cartridge. So I bought a new 41 cartridge, but same error. I then tried the new carttridge in another canon printer and it worked fine. The old cartridge worked in that printer also. I also am getting a few errors saying that the black cartridge cannot be recognized. What should I do next.
try this methode
1. Turn off the printer. And disconnect the printer cable.
2. Press and hold the POWER button, turn on the printer.
3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.)
should be orange.
5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator
(L.E.D.) should be green
6. Release both buttons
and try to print

Take out both the cartridges and clean the sides and all the other
areas with a cloth or tissue paper. Then put the ink cartridge back
inside and this should work.
