I need driver for maxtor 160 gb hard drive - Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini 160GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive

Probably more than just a driver, but Maxtor is part of Seagate, so you should be able to find driver on Seagate's website. I had a 500gb Seagate that failed within the warranty. I didn't want to send it in with loss of all data, so I took it apart. Wala, drive was ok, the interface had failed. If the driver doesn't help Good chance power supply or interface is the problem and drive is ok.

just power it on plug in the usb it should load the drivers automatic then all good

Hard drive passwords are embedded in the firmware of the drive itself. You need to try to find out what the password was.
