Can not get to cover to change light buld battery in the way

What is a glass buld cover? Do you mean bulb?

Did you find the fuse that the owners manual tells you is 4 the trunk lite?? If its not the fuse and the light it has 2 B the wiring somewhere. Check the bulb socket with a volt meter to make sure you have voltage at the socket itself with the trunk hood up obviously. It could also be the actuator switch. Good luck!!

You may be able to access it from the engine compartment, or from under the car. There's a twist-out buld socket - (twist about an 1/4 quarter turn to the left) - then pull striaght back. If not accessable that way remove the light cover/lens and then the light unit - there should be enough slack in the wires to pull the assembly forward alittle to remove buld socket.

Try not to touch the buld as you do the installation. There is a access cover in the back of the head lamp. This gives you access to the headlamp. Now when you get to the light buld and socket turn counterclockwise.Then the light bulb wil come out of its socket.From here disconnect the electrical connection.Now for the installation connect the electrical socket to the headlamp bulb.Install the buld in the socket,by rotating socket clockwise locking the retaining tabs to the housing,install cover test the light and you are done

You need to undo the instrument cluster to replace the lights. After undoing the screws and removing the trim cover be very careful unplugging connectors at the back. They are quite easy to break. Please refer to diagram below.

I having a same problem as you.
I have changed Head light (general head light 12V 37W)
I plug out inverter connector and connect 12V 37W bulb directly
It works fine.

Open the back hatch and (if no screws on the outside of light cover) and look for a "door" or door panel that covers the inner side of the lights. Once this is off, find the brake light buld, twist and pull,or just pull out depending on bulb type. Put new bulb in, put door/cover back on, check brake light.

Change the bulb from the inside of the trunk.

Invest in a Haynes or Chilton's manual for referrence, it helps.

Inside the trunk, left or right, you should see the wires going to the light. There will be a connector holding the bulb in place. Remove the buld by turning it right or left to release.

if there are screws visible from the side with the plate on either side of the buld housing take these out. if not open trunk and check for access to the bulbs behind the carpet/cosmetic cover.

try removing the battery for room or are there any screws holding the lens in place ?
