HP says buy one of their new printers that work with Vista. Vista says contact HP. 2 wire says contact Hp or Vista. (I have a 2 Wire router) I had an HP laptop with Windows XP before and the printer worked fine wirelessly.
Is there a work around so the Vista Laptop will print wirelessly to the HP 6110?
I don't know what to do, but can't afford a new Officejet. And with this kind of support, won't buy another one.

Windows Vista is a "MEAN" O/S. Not all of the bugs are fixed yet and still hard to find compatable hardware for it. Microsoft did Vista completely different than other O/S's, they released it to program developers to retrofit the printers and such only 1 month before it hit the shelves. With Windows XP and other predecessors, the released them 6 mos before it hit the shelves. I am more than positive Microsoft will get their act together soon, until then, there will be these problems. I have tried EVERYTHING I know to work around it and haven't found a solution. Any other Suggestions from the Techs on here will more than likely be a dead end also. If I am wrong, I stand corrected. Good Luck to you.

Have an HP laptop and HP 6110 printer. The computer says the printer is idle and available, but gives an error message and no print job. I'm going to check for driver updates, sure hope they get this one fixed ASAP.
I've given up temporarily on my wireless, am using the laptop wired directly to Comcast. What kind of connection should I get to use the laptop and printer? of course, I only have USB ports, no handy plug in.
thanks~~
