A sata drive doesn't need jumpers. The jumpers were only required when 2 drives used the same cable.

Jumper seetings for compaq d330 motherboard

ASUS is a common name manufacturer what you will have to do is take the serial off the board what type it is and type in "Google Search" ASUS motherboard model need jumper diagram. Sometimes you can call the company and they can send one to you.
Or you can do another search "Google again" and type in model of the board in the images section and get a diagram. As well, but really you will need the manual. look for a manual as well on the search .pdf if I new the board numbers I would send a link to you where to get a manual.

Asus striker extreme motherboard comes up with cpu init code on lcd screen

You will probably have to go into the BIOS and set defaults. You can also Goolge the computer to find the jumper that can be used to default the BIOS back to factory spec's.
you can also call Asus and have them send you another BIOS chip, it plugs right in.
(found this 1 on the Internet, Goolge "cpu init code + Asus")

You should be able to see the words/letters that go with the jumpers on the motherboard itself. look around the jumper settings area for power, pwr etc. and match them up with your jumpers which should have what the go to on them.

If this drive is only for storage it can be set as a slave drive. If it will have the OS installed and will be the boot drive it has to be set as master. Set the jumpers accordingly. If a different drive is the master you might check the jumpers on that also. I have seen some drives with a (master/slave present) jumper that might need to be changed as well. Most WD drives have a jumper settings diagram on the case.

Need jumper diagram for motherboard

Hi,

Check that the hard drive is set to "slave" on the jumper settings where you connect it (if it's IDE). Also, check the boot order in the BIOS (or setup as it may be called when booting up) to make sure that they computer's not trying to boot off the new drive rather than the old one. I don't think the jumpers on the motherboard will help you at ALL. Drive jumpers are the only thing and as mentioned - set the new drive to SLAVE and make sure the original drive is on MASTER (this is usually all recorded on the top of the drive on the label)

Good luck!
